Butterflies and Me

you're like a butterfly, that i've held in my hand.
the moment i opened my palm,
you fluttered away from me.
you rested upon another palm,
and you embraced the chance at the closing of her palm.
things never turn out how you want it to...
but it's funny how you can be so confused about what you want until the time comes where you can't have it anymore.
but it's ok,
because the sky is full of butterflies,
and one day...the most beautiful of them all is going to rest upon my shoulder...
one that i will never have to enclose within my hands,
because i know it won't leave me...
and you were just another one of those beautiful creatures on my journey to finding the right.

Did you wriute it yourself?? If so, your very, very talented. And pretty too but that goes without saying. BTW: I really like your necklace too. I've seen it elsewhere. Is there a difference between yours and a pentangle, as I see the upper points are curved rather than pointed/angled?

The necklace is a heartogram, it symbolizes the relationship between life and death. It's also the symbol used by thr Rock band HIM and was gifted to me by someone who's a huge fan of them. I've been told that without the curved edges it would look like the sign of the devil, which is not my intention at all. I personally don't worship the devil. To each his own, but that path isn't for me. Yes I did write the poem on my own and thanks so much for your kind words XD
